Ignore the ladies.  Don't be rude, but have your own stuff going on, whether it is a hobby or sports activity.  Doing something that you really enjoy.  This is attractive to girls, they will want to be apart of the fun.  It could be being around your recreational hoops team after a game or going to a concert if you are an avid music lover.  Make things happen and be active.

For the Women:

All you have to do is smile.  No, really, the same applies above.  People who are doing things and active are attractive.

Also, try not to be too hard on the men, if their stupid ok, but give the guy a chance who tries to start up a conversation.
